How to Use Affirmations for Healing
Most of us realize on some level that our thoughts affect our health and well-being, either for good or bad. However, most of us do not realize how helpful they really are to help us shift our awareness and heal. We all have times in our life, probably more often than we would like to admit, where we have negative thoughts. Most of have the same thoughts over and over again and one of the most simple things we can do to shift our thoughts is to use affirmations to help us shift our awareness and heal ourselves and our life.
What Are Affirmations?
An affirmation is a positive statement that reinforces something we desire in our life and is one of the most simple things that we can do to help us overcome deeply rooted thoughts. Many times, we think of affirmations as something we do for money or success; however they can be used in every area of our life, including our health.
So How Do We Use Affirmations to Help Us Change our Awareness and Heal Our Life?
When we have a thought that does not serve us, simply rephrase it in a positive way, one that empowers you. So for instance, if you have the thought “I can’t do this.” replace it with “I can get this done simply and easily now.” It is important to add the now as it adds focus and urgency to it being now and not in a year. Very simply, every time you have the thought “I can’t do this.” , replace it with “I can get this done simply and easily now.”
When we reinforce the verbal with writing affirmations down (I suggest writing down a few phrases that you use regularly) and reading item two to three times per day (a minimum of once per day), and read each of them a few times, perhaps three to 10 times. And as you read them, feel it in your gut. When we feel it in our gut, there is a magic that happens that helps the affirmations to be reinforced on a deeper level. If you do this on a regular basis, it will help you shift your awareness.
